SunriseAlarmGuide.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
This means: when you click a product link on our site and then purchase that product (or any product) on Amazon within a certain window, we may earn a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go directly to Amazon — you pay nothing extra.
How This Affects Our Content
The short answer: it doesn't. Here's why we can say that with confidence:
Our rankings are data-driven, not commission-driven. Every product that appears in a top-7 list on this site earned its position through review data performance: volume, sustained average rating, reliability of positive feedback signals, and absence of systematic complaint patterns. We do not accept payment for product placement and have not received free products from any manufacturer.
We include products that we don't link to. If the best product for a use case is one we can't generate affiliate revenue from (discontinued, sold only through the manufacturer's site, etc.), we include it anyway and note the limitation.
Amazon commissions are typically 3–4% for electronics. On a $45 sunrise alarm clock, our commission is approximately $1.35–$1.80. This is meaningful in aggregate but is not meaningful on a per-product-placement basis — there's no financial incentive to recommend an inferior product over a superior one when the commission difference is $0.20.
Our informational articles contain no affiliate links by design. Articles like "Sunrise Alarm vs Regular Alarm: What the Sleep Science Says" exist purely to inform. They contain no product links. This is intentional — we believe information-first content builds trust and is the right way to operate.
